Individuals and Small Groups Make a Big Difference
Wesley Housing began because a group of concerned citizens came together to identify the needs of their community. The staggering shortage of affordable housing in Northern Virginia could not be ignored. After studying the issue, their final report noted that solutions would be found and implemented only when many individuals, businesses, faith communities, and governments came together. Virginia Peters, a retired school teacher, was the first person to say, "I CAN." She started by founding Wesley Housing.
Since it's founding in 1974, more than 25,000 individuals, families, seniors, and people with disabilities and chronic medical conditions have been given the dignity of stable housing. You can’t solve all the problems in our community, but you CAN make a difference today by supporting Wesley Housing.
