Small Groups Make a Big Difference
Wesley Housing began because a group of concerned citizens came together to identify the needs of their community. The staggering shortage of affordable housing in Northern Virginia could not be ignored. After studying the issue, their final report noted that while the whole problem could not be fixed by any one individual, one faith organization, or one business, individuals coming together could start to make a difference. Virginia Peters, a retired school teacher, was the first person to say I CAN. She started by founding Wesley Housing.
