From the very beginning, Wesley Housing Development Corporation (Wesley Housing) has been an organization concerned with community. The initial research study that identified the need for affordable housing was created because the faith community wanted to help those in our region who were in need. It is a concern for community that founded Wesley Housing and it is a partnership base equally concerned for community that has helped Wesley Housing grow into a strong organization that has helped over 20,000 Northern Virginian families have safe, decent housing for over three decades.
Wesley Housing partners come from all segments of our community from the individual to the investment company. Federal, state, and local governments have both supported the work of Wesley Housing financially and have turned to the organization to address the concerns of some of the neediest segments of our community: the profoundly disabled and the elderly. Banks and equity investors provide the foundation for our buildings. Corporations and foundations lend backing to our resident services. Friends, neighbors, concerned citizens, and faith communities add their support to both by giving of their financial resources, their advocacy efforts, and the generous investment of their time and skills.
Every single partner is important to Wesley Housing, for their support is leveraged not in mere dollars, but in the lives of the men, women, and children who live in our communities.
