Alexandria, VA.—Wesley Housing, a leading non-profit affordable housing developer in Northern Virginia, welcomes Kamilah Parker McAfee as Director of Real Estate.  McAfee will direct and manage the implementation of Wesley Housing’s affordable housing development pipeline, leading the development team through entitlement, legal structuring, design, financing, construction and lease-up of these properties.

“McAfee’s background and leadership skills will provide Wesley Housing with the momentum we need to continue to meet the pressing demand for affordable housing in Northern Virginia,” stated Shelley S. Murphy, Wesley Housing’s President and CEO.

Before joining Wesley Housing, McAfee served as a Development Associate with Forest City Washington in Washington, DC, supporting several large-scale, mixed-use projects in Washington, D.C.  Prior to her employment with Forest City Washington, McAfee was the Director of Public Finance at the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA), overseeing the origination, underwriting, structuring and closing of tax-exempt multi-family mortgage revenue bond transactions.

Currently a Fellow at the Center for Urban Redevelopment Excellence at the University of Pennsylvania, McAfee holds a B.S. in Finance and New and Small Business Development from Georgetown University.  To supplement her undergraduate degree, McAfee is currently a candidate for a Masters in Business Administration at American University.
