After losing his wife six years ago and renting an apartment at William Watters Apartments, Nash is still pleased with the location, cost, and staff’s genuine hospitality. Nash appreciates the level of care Wesley has offered him. Now walking with a cane, Nash told staff that carpet relieves some of the pain caused by a leg injury sustained during the war. Nash got a carpeted unit as a reasonable accommodation for his injury.
The 2015/2016 renovation was possible by using 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and REACH funds from Virginia Housing Development Authority. The renovations include upgraded kitchens, baths, and flooring, and new windows, mechanical, and plumbing for increased energy efficiency.
